Concept:

Video PSA

We will create a video that shows people and their belongings. There will be a contrast between between people in the same demographic shot along with their belongings.  A woman who is homeless, in contrast to a woman who is not. A man, and a child.

Inspiration: My mom has this book which was really the inspiration for this concept.

About the book  "In an unprecedented effort, sixteen of the world’s foremost photographers traveled to thirty nations around the globe to live for a week with families that were statistically average for that nation. At the end of each visit, photographer and family collaborated on a remarkable portrait of the family members outside their home, surrounded by all of their possessions—a few jars and jugs for some, an explosion of electronic gadgetry for others. Vividly portraying the look and feel of the human condition everywhere on Earth, this internationally acclaimed bestseller puts a human face on the issues of population, environment, social justice, and consumption as it illuminates the crucial question facing our species today: Can all six billion of us have all the things we want?"

Here are some additional photographers that have used a similar concept:

Texting Can wait

The It Can Wait campaign is an effort by AT&T to stop people from texting and driving.

The focus of my video supporting this campaign is bring awareness to the fact that texting and driving is not a good decision.

Everyone does weird things when they driving a car, like biting their fingernails, listening to an audiobook or even soothing their baby to sleep. People spend long periods of time in their car and I believe this is the reason why people end up getting bored and making poor decisions such as texting. Some weird things are okay to do. Texting is not okay.

The purpose is for the audience to consider activities other than texting.
